YLF ALUMNI

As a YLF alum, you are the backbone of these programs! We are so glad that you are in the YLF family!

As an alumni, there are many ways that you can stay involved with your state’s YLF program. Each state is different, but, most states allow alumni to apply to be mentors or volunteers at future YLF’s. Many states look for alumni to be a part of their Board or Youth Council. Some states even have an Alumni Foundation to keep alum involved. To find out all of the opportunities in your state, contact your state director listed on our YLF states page.

  • Serve as an Alumni Representative on our AYLF Executive Committee
It’s important for AYLF to have involvement from our Alumni. Alumni are the experts in providing first-hand knowledge, lived experience, and insight to development issues. Alumni representatives help guide the national organization and are invited to all monthly meetings. Our Alumni, as other Board Members, also perform additional assignments delegated by the Chairperson.
    AYLF Alumni Representatives must:
    Be a YLF Alumni.
    Be 16-30 years old.
    Attend monthly AYLF meetings.
Attend executive board meetings as needed.
  • Attend AYLF Monthly Meetings
Alumni are allowed to attend AYLF meetings, but we encourage you to inform the director in your state and get information from them on how to join.
  • Attend our AYLF National Event!
This event is hosted for YOU and your fellow alumni! Each year, AYLF holds a virtual national event to bring together alumni from across the nation. This event is a chance to further grow in your leadership skills, hear from dynamic speakers, network with your peers, and get to know your YLF family on a larger scale. Visit our EVENTS page [link to Event page] for more information.
  • Help with the AYLF Newsletter
We would love to bring back out AYLF newsletter featuring updates from all of our state programs. Would you like to help out with this? Contact us to get started.
  • Help out with AYLF Social Media
AYLF has a Facebook, Discord, and Slack page. We could use some help to keep these up to date and active. Would you like to help us further engage our alumni in these sites? Contact us to get started

If any of the opportunities above sound interesting to you, just contact us to get involved! Or, fill out this form to tell us of your interest.
